Description

The SureStepr SD5984 is a bi-polar stepper motor driver based on A5984 from Allegro's new generation of stepper drivers. Runs significantly quieter and smoother compared to previous stepper divers generations. Simple to use and operate using an indexer (DIR/STEP) interface to move the stepper motors. The SD5984 is a drop-in replacement for Pololu style footprint drivers including the SD8825, A4988, A4983 and Stepsticks. See user guide for pin out compatibility.

The SD5984 features a clear top area making heatsinking easier and more efficient. Main chip is mounted on the bottom to expose the bottom heat pad to the top area using via stitching. Comes with hefty red heatsinks. No soldering required as all pin headers comes pre-soldered.

The SD5984 has a max peak output of 2 Amps and has up to 1/32 micro stepping.

See user guide before attempting to install. Do not operate above 1A without heat sink.

Version Selection:

Standard: For use with boards without digital pot controller available. RAMPS, RADDS, and most third party controllers. The Azteeg controllers can use these drivers as well but will work with the digipot version if needed.

Digipot: For use with Azteeg controllers if using the digital pot Vref adjustment feature. Can be used on the X3, X3 PRO, X5 mini V3 and X5 GT
