The Azteeg X3 is a full featured, easy to use 3D printer Electronics powered by the reliable and powerful Atmel ATMEGA2560 micro controller.The X3 is designed with excellent high current capability to run most 3D printer configurations including those with dual extruders and large, power hungry heated beds.. Will work with Prusa Mendel, Mendel Max, Ordbot, Printrbot and most 3D printers.
We've combined the RAMPS and the Arduino Mega into one sleek package, added lots of cool stuff, beefed up power handling and made the Azteeg X3 pin to pin compatible with the popular RAMPS controller. This means you can use it right out of the box. Compatible with all mainstream reprap 3D printer firmwares including SPRINTER, MARLIN, REPETIER and others.
The X3 has a removable top shield to physically protect its parts which also doubles as an expansion board. Printing via micro SD card is now easier with the built-in microSD slot and also has built in buzzer.

Azteeg X3 in action
Terminal Blocks comes soldered with orders starting June 18th unless otherwise requested. Push-fit connectors, vertical or right angle will come unsoldered to the board unless requested to be soldered.
Vertical Crimp Style Header with wire harness.
This includes polarized vertical male headers, mating housing connector and crimp pins.
Right Angle Crimp Style Header with wire harness.
This includes polarized right angle male headers, mating housing connector and crimp pins.
Terminal Blocks or screw terminals.
These are standard terminal blocks. No crimping needed. Easy to connect wires but needs more work disconnecting if board is replaced or moved to a different printer.
With wire harness (wire is crimped).
This option is the same as the first two but has the wires crimped and ready to go. Wire size for motors is AWG22 and 26 for the stops and therminstors. 11 wire assemblies in all and comes in 24" wire length. This may be the easiest option for most users.
Version 1.1 Cover shield.
The expansion shield has been upgraded and now has the following features
2 additional power mosfet switches for Hotends for a total capability of 4 for the X3.
2 additional Thermistor inputs
2 additional connections for external stepper drivers
Central stepper fault detect ( for use with the new SD8825 stepper drivers only)
1 additional expansion header (usable only with X3 v1.1)
Stepper Drivers based on the robust Ti DRV8825
Comes with relatively large 11mm x 10mm x 5mm heat sink. Other heat sink sizes available.
2.5 amp drive limit with overload and thermal protections.
Breakout pins for Decay, Fault and external Vref for software set current limit
1, 1/2, 1/4, 1/16 and 1/32 microsteps
Excellent heat dissipation. Heat tab on top PCB layer as recommended by the manufacturer. Will accept larger heatsinks
Pin compatible and with pololu style drivers. Drop in replacement, no mods needed.
